Description: The invention relates to a device for treating the surface of an ice rink, comprising a storage device with a web-like protective covering and an extending over at least a portion of a lateral side of the ice rink to be treated, by means of an associated drive device transversely to its longitudinal direction over the An ice rink is a movable treatment bar provided with a peeling device for peeling off the surface of the ice rink and a moistening device for applying a film of a freezing liquid to the surface of the ice rink.
An arrangement of this type is known from DE 2 856 492 A1. In this known arrangement, however, the rink with the aid of the treatment bar can only be removed and subjected to a film of water. An additional protection of the ice surface can not be applied.
In many cases, however, it happens that an ice rink, which must be cooled from below, is exposed to the surface of a strong heat load. This applies in particular to artificial ice rinks in halls that are heated. The consequence of this is that the cooling must be increased, so that the consumption of heating energy also added to the increased cooling energy, which adversely affects the economy.
Although it is already known to protect an ice rink in the unused state by a rollable insulating coating against cold losses. From WO 98/05 392 there is a device for applying an up or unrollable Isolierbelags on the surface of a skating rink. However, this known arrangement does not allow simultaneous care of the rink surface. This must therefore be carried out separately, which proves to be cumbersome.
On this basis, it is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a device of the kind mentioned, which not only the preparation of the ice surface, but also allows the attachment of a protection in a single operation.
This object is achieved by a device having the features of the independent claim 1. The treatment beam is designed as a towing device for a sheet-like protective covering with which the ice rink can be covered and which can be attached with a beginning to the treatment beam and hereby detached from an associated storage device in the region of a treatment beam parallel edge of the ice rink, a protective covering reservoir receiving device and the Ice rink can be applied.
These measures ensure that a worn ice rink can be removed and moistened in one operation and at the same time covered with a protective cover, which ensures a rational operation. The protective coating protects the ice rink, as long as it is not used, against cold losses to the heated environment, which allows a high energy saving. The achievable with the present invention advantages are therefore to be seen overall in a good overall economy.
Advantageous embodiments and expedient developments of the higher-level measures are specified in the dependent claims.
Thus, the treatment beam expediently in its direction of movement extending guide device, preferably be assigned in the form of a rail assembly. This allows a reliable straight-ahead of the treatment bar and thus the attached thereto protective coating, so that it can be laid exactly without lateral bleeding.
Another expedient measure may be that the treatment beam is provided with drivable wheels. This can be moved back and forth by driving the wheels and thus represents an autonomous module in an advantageous manner.
Another advantageous embodiment may be that the treatment beam associated drive device is designed as a cable to which the treatment beam is attached. In this case, it is achieved that the treatment beam requires no integrated drive device and is thereby simplified.
In a further development of the higher-level measures can be provided that the storage device is designed as a rotatably mounted on a frame reel. Here, the protective coating can be easily from the reel off or wound on this. Conveniently, the reel can be driven by means of an associated drive means, whereby the removal process is supported and thus the train acting on the protective covering is reduced and in the reverse direction a reliable collection of the protective coating after the end of the protection period and re-commissioning of the rink is guaranteed.
Conveniently, the protective coating may be formed as Isolierbelag having a carrier layer formed as a film, which is provided with a coating consisting of insulating material. This results on the one hand a good tensile strength and on the other hand a good insulation.
In a further development of the above measure can be provided that the top of the protective coating is formed as a radiating surface. As a result, the insulating effect is enhanced.
A further development of the higher-level measures may consist in that several, adjacent tracks are provided to form the protective covering. This facilitates handling and reduces the forces used, so that overall results in a gentle operation.
Further advantageous embodiments and expedient developments of the parent measures will become apparent from the following description of an embodiment with reference to the drawings.
In the drawing described below:
Fig. 1 is a schematic representation of an inventive device from the side and
2 shows an example of a guide of the treatment bar of the arrangement according to FIG. 1.
In Fig. 1, an ice rink 1 is indicated, which is bounded by a circulating belt 2. The ice rink 1 is generally rectangular in shape, so that two parallel longitudinal sides and two transversely extending, parallel transverse sides arise. The ice rink 1 may be an artificial ice rink located in a stadium hall.
The ice of the ice rink 1 consists of frozen water, which is brought to freezing by appropriate cooling. For this purpose, a usually laid by below the ice rink 1, not shown here cooling coils formed, provided with chillers cooling device is provided. The ice rink 1 receiving stadium hall can be heated by means of associated heaters.
The surface of the ice rink 1 must be treated from time to time. This usually takes place after the end of the ice-skating time. Until the beginning of the next shift, usually until the next day's opening, the surface of the ice rink 1 is protected against cold losses to the heated environment. For this purpose, a web-shaped protective coating 3 is applied to the surface of the ice rink 1. This may have a thin, solid support layer which is provided with a coating consisting of insulating material. To form the carrier layer, a plastic web or a textile web, etc. may be provided. The coating may consist of foamed plastic. The top of the protective covering 3 is expediently designed as a radiating surface, which can be achieved simply by a shiny white color.
For the preparation of the surface of the ice rink 1 and for applying the protective coating 3, a corresponding treatment device is provided. This contains a somewhat enlarged illustrated in Fig. 1 for illustration, parallel to one side, preferably to the broad side of the ice rink 1 extending treatment beam 4 which is transverse to its longitudinal extent, that is movable parallel to the longitudinal sides of the ice rink 1, as in Fig. 1st indicated by movement arrows. For the movement of the treatment bar 4, this may include an integrated drive device or, as in the embodiment indicated in FIG. 1 with an external drive device, here in the form of a cable 5, cooperate.
The treatment bar 4 can over the entire length of this purpose parallel boundary of the ice rink 1, here over the entire width of the ice rink 1, pass through or extend over only a part thereof. The width of the sheet-like protective covering 3 corresponds to the length of the treatment beam 4. If this extends only over part of the associated width of the ice rink 1, several tracks of a protective covering 3 must be laid side by side. The treatment bar 4 must be laterally adjustable in this case in the direction of its length, so that train by train, the entire width of the ice rink 1 can be overstretched. The web-shaped protective covering 3 or the plurality of webs can be releasably coupled to the treatment bar 4. For this purpose, the treatment beam 4 can be easily provided with a corresponding coupling device forming clamping device 6, etc., in which the associated beginning of the one or more tracks of the protective covering 3 can be releasably clamped.
The acting as a towing device for the protective covering 3 treatment bar 4 has, as shown in FIG. 1 further, a continuous over its length, projecting from a longitudinal side doctor 7, which cooperates with the surface of the ice rink 1 and can subtract it clean. The treatment bar 4 also has a moistening device cooperating with the surface of the ice rink 1, e.g. in the form of a provided in the region of its bottom pad 8 made of textile material or sponge-shaped material. In any case, it is an absorbent, water-permeable material which, by contacting the surface of the ice rink 1, can apply to it a film of a freezing liquid, preferably water. For this purpose, the treatment bar 4 may be provided with a tank, from which liquid is metered to the pad 8. In the example shown, the treatment beam 4 is connected via a movable supply line 9 to an external water source, etc. for this purpose.
By moving the treatment bar 4, the ice rink 1 is accordingly deducted in one operation, subjected to a liquid film and simultaneously provided with the protective coating 3. This is thereby removed from an associated, arranged in the region of the treatment bar 4 parallel edge of the ice rink 1, a covering stock containing storage device. To form the memory device, a reel 11 rotatably mounted on an associated stationary block 10 is provided in the example shown. This is equipped in the example shown with a reel drive 12, by means of which the reel 11 can be driven in both directions of rotation. When unwinding the protective covering 3, the reel 11 of
